Thomas Cleveland Jackson Profile Photo

T.C. was born to Viola and J.D. Jackson in Richmond County, North Caroline. He was raised on the family farm. After leaving high school, he joined the navy and was stationed on an aircraft carrier off the coast of Japan during the Korean conflict. He met his wife of 65 years, Marilyn, at a USO dance in Long Beach, CA. They settled in a home in Lakewood to raised their family. He was an active member of St. Pancratius Parish.

While raising his family, T.C. attended Long Beach State College where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He spent his entire career at the Northrop Corporation, retiring as an engineering section manager in the 1980s.

T.C. enjoyed several hobbies including photography, building things in the garage and working with computers. He loved old time country music and dancing. He looked forward to drives on quiet Sunday afternoons. When the children where young he took his family on many camping trips. As they matured, the vacations turned into cruising holidays. By sharing his love of travel, he showed his family the world.

T.C. is survived by his children: Charlotte (Roger), Amy (Brad), Tom (Joyce), Lorraine (Adam) and Philip; 4 sister-in- laws; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
