"Once a Marine, Always a Marine!” This was the way I lived my life.
Joseph Freeman Musick was born on April 15, 1945 in Jefferson, Missouri. He is survived by his son Joe, daughter Lisa, granddaughter Janet, grandson Benji, son in law Mike, daughter in law Jennifer, sister Anne Marie and numerous cousins. Joe moved to California with his family at an early age and lived in Lakewood until his passing. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend Rita, his eldest grandson David, his sisters Rosemary and Kathy, brother Kim and his parents Kenny and Rose.
Yogi Berra once said, "Little League baseball is a very good thing because it keeps the parents off the streets." For Joe, Little League baseball gave him the opportunity to take things he learned in the Marine Corps and from his family and invest in numerous young kids. Many of his former players have said he was the best coach they ever had and that they learned how to adapt and succeed, thanks to him.
To the three things I loved; my Family, my Corps and Baseball. Thank you for the memories.
