Shirley Ann Ferry grew up on the Imbach family ranch in Chino, California. She attended Mountain View Elementary School, Chaffey High School, and Lux College in San Francisco. Shirley married Richard Ferry May 1, 1955. They were married 62 years. Shirley worked for doctors in San Francisco and Long Beach for 45 years. Shirley's life was filled with music. She was a singer from her early days at Laird Church in Chino. Shirley and her sister Phyllis and the Grant girls were the Laird Church quartet. Shirley sang solos and The Lord's Prayer at many weddings and even convinced her husband Richard to join the choir at the Good Shepard Presbyterian Church. Shirley had many musical favorites. One of Shirley's favorite songs was, "His Eye is on the Sparrow" as well as the songs from Psalms. Shirley and Richard's favorite song to sing together with the choir was "We Walk by Faith and not by Sight". Shirley loved the classics and together they supported the Pops Symphony for 27 years. One of their favorite social events was attending the Black and White Symphony Fund Raisers on the Queen Mary in Long Beach.. Shirley also loved spending time at the family cabin in Blue Jay and at the beach in San Clemente. We will always remember the joy she brought to our lives. She was the life of every party, fun-loving, and beautiful. She will be truly missed by her many friends and family and will remain in our hearts forever.
