Zoe M. Wilson

Zoe Wilson, born in Long Beach, CA on September 30, 1935 to Roland and Claire McCurdy, returned to God on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in her family home from the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease. She is survived by her husband, Robert James Wilson, 8 children (Robert, Linda, Susan, Laura, Lisa, Page, April, and Ryan), 30 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.Services will be at 10am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 6500 Atherton Street, Long Beach, CA 90815. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9am-10am.Zoe graduated from Franklin Jr. High, Poly High School, Long Beach City College, and California State University at Long Beach (her college graduation ceremonies happening at the exact time she was in the hospital delivering her first child).She married Robert J. Wilson on August 29, 1958 in Long Beach, where they then established their home and raised their family.Zoe taught short hand, typing, and business law at Long Beach City College and was active in church and educational activities.Most importantly, she shared her love and compassion with each person with whom she came in contact and was a shining example of Christlike love and service.
