Yvonne E. Schindele
October 31, 1921 — March 17, 2016
Yvonne grew up in Santa Maria and lived in Long Beach for 60 years. She worked for the Dept. of Defense for 27 years as an Accounting Technician. She loved helping people and after retiring from government service continued to give her time and expertise to several volunteer organizations. She worked with the Children’s Benefit League for 30 years and in 2012 was honored with their Life Membership Award.
Yvonne was always quick to laugh and was a light to those in her life and community. Her gracious and loving heart held her family and friends together over the years. She will be missed and fondly remembered.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 30 at 1:00 pm at Luyben Dilday Mortuary, 5161 Arbor Road, Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children’s Benefit League, PO Box 8011, Long Beach, CA, 90808.
