William Edward Bryant, "Bill", was born December 9, 1959 at St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, CA, and raised in Lakewood, CA. Bill was the oldest of three boys born to Jack and Arcelia Bryant.  Bill attended Cleveland Elementary School, Demille Middle School and graduated from Lakewood High School, class of 1978.  He loved the game of baseball, playing Little League and Pony League when he was young. He continued to play in High School, Long Beach City College, and on to Long Beach State.   Bill met Stacy Fair at Long Beach City College in 1980, and they married in January of 1985.  Bill and Stacy have two daughters, Kierstin and Megan. His girls were the light of his life. He took great pride in his family and loved them dearly. He was one of those guys who put a lot of love and life into a short time.   After college, Bill went into the insurance business, eventually owning his own insurance company.  Bill was very active in the Long Beach community, serving on the board at Community Hospital Foundation, president of Richter Club, and the Cal State Long Beach Baseball Alumni Association.   Bill enjoyed playing golf with his many good friends, and never lost his passion for baseball.  He continued to play softball in a number of adult softball leagues.  One of his favorite pass times was to enjoy watching his beloved Dirtbags from his box seats at Blair Field.   Bill is survived by his wife, Stacy and their daughters, Kierstin and Megan.  He is also survived by his mother, Arcelia, two brothers Mike (Gwen) Bryant and Guy (Heather) Bryant and numerous nieces and nephews for whom he was very proud. Funeral services will be as follows:  Vigil, Thursday, December 10th, 7:30 pm at St Cornelius Church 5500 E Wardlow Rd., Long Beach, CA.  Funeral Mass, Friday, December 11th at 11:00 am at St Corenelius Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bill's honor to The American Heart Association and Catholic Charities.
