In Loving Memory of Vivian Kapono

Vivian Kapono, 94, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. She was born on December 13, 1931, and lived a life devoted to her family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories.

Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Kapono, and her son, Kennard Kapono.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Joseph Kapono and Daniel Kapono; her daughter-in-law, Joni Kapono; her grandchildren, Melissa Cooper and her husband, John; Kennard Kapono and his wife, Emilee; Candice Alcaraz and her husband, Deen; Danny Kapono; Jason Kapono and his wife, Ashley; and Jillian Kapono.

She was also a proud great-grandmother to Deen Alcaraz and his wife, Carly; Taylor Kapono; Chris Alcaraz and his wife, Kaeleigh; Brayden Cooper; Isla Kapono; Campbell Kapono; Luke Kapono; Austin Kapono; Sienna Kapono; and Bane Kapono. She was additionally blessed to be a cherished great-great-grandmother to Wesley Alcaraz.

Vivian found joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time with her family and cheering on her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers. Her greatest pride was the family she helped build, and she treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, unwavering love, and the many memories she created with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
