Virginia Snapp affectionately known as “Ginger Snapp” was born on April 28, 1948 in a small town, called Springville, California. Her parents (Deceased) were Guy and Lorraine Snapp. Her dad was a Deputy Sheriff. She grew up in Central Valley, Lindsay and Visalia, California with her younger brother, Dick. Growing up she had a passion for cars. She also loved Cats. After graduating from high school, Ginger attended Long Beach State University. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree and followed her father’s footsteps in Law enforcement. She began her career in the Probation Department as a Deputy Probation Officer and climbed her way to the Administrative level, Deputy Chief, 2nd highest ranking position in the Probation Department. Ginger has been with her husband, Richard for 41 years .   Ginger was always known to be a strong and hard worker; Dedicated and committed to her job as she worked tirelessly for many nights.  She retired after 38 years of service. Ginger leaves to mourn her husband Richard, Long Beach; 1 brother Dick Snapp, northern California; Sister in Law Lynette Snapp; a host of relatives and friends; her Probation Family and her cat Chanelle. She will always be remembered for her intelligence , wisdom and hard work. May she rest in peace! ?
