Virginia Louise (Bartosch) Molinaro, 91, passed away on November 3, 2016 at the Katella Senior Living Facility in Los Alamitos, California.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Long Beach, California with Monsignor Gary Bauler officiating. Her burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 14 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California. Arrangements are by Luyben Dilday Mortuary.
Virginia was born in Chicago, Illinois to Henry John and Sophie Bartosch on April 9, 1925. She graduated from Chicago’s Steimitz High School and, shortly afterward, went to work for the Illinois Telephone Company. She later worked for the Santa Fe Railroad Company and, after relocating to Southern California, worked at Hawthorne High School. In 1946 and after the war, Virginia married John Molinaro in a large ceremony in Chicago. She will be fondly remembered by all for her love of fun hats, bingo, and abundant home decorations.
Virginia is preceded in death by her mother and father; husband; as well as her older and younger brothers, Robert Bartosch and Donald Bartosch, respectively. Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alyce and Dan Coburn; son and daughter-in-law, John Molinaro and Lorraine Sharp; as well as grandson and grand daughter-in-law, Brian and Margaret Novak.
Virginia’s family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to her caregivers at Katella Senior Living Facility and Quaker Gardens, as well as to her long-time friends from Huntington Landmark and Leisure World.
