Vincent Michael Miranda , a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and esteemed military veteran, peacefully departed this life in Long Beach, California, on March 6, 2024, at the age of 69. Born in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California, Vince was raised in the serene surroundings of Palo Alto, California. His journey was one adorned with love, adventure, and unwavering dedication to all he held dear.
Vince served his country with honor and distinction for 20 years in the United States Air Force. His commitment to duty and his unwavering loyalty earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. After retiring from the Air Force, Vince continued to embody the values of service and integrity in every aspect of his life transitioning to working for the Long Beach Unified School District making a lasting impact in the community while establishing lifelong friendships.
A true enthusiast of life, Vince had a passion for music, particularly the Grateful Dead, whose melodies served as the soundtrack to many memorable moments in his life. He found solace and joy in cycling, exploring the beauty of nature and the open road. Additionally, Vince had a talent for beading, creating intricate and beautiful designs that reflected his creativity and attention to detail.
Vince is survived by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Miranda, his devoted brothers, Mark Miranda and Dennis Miranda, and his cherished sons, Major Johnathan Miranda, U.S. Air Force, and Major Stephen Michael Miranda, U.S. Air Force. He also leaves behind five adoring grandchildren, Kira, Charley, Travis, Henry, and Hunter, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
A man of great faith and tradition, Vince will be laid to rest on Monday, March 18, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 399 S San Antonio Rd, Los Altos, CA 94022 at 12:00 PM, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Dr, Los Altos, CA 94022, where he will be reunited with his parents, Major Frank Joseph Miranda and Barbara Helen Miranda.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Vince's memory. For those wishing to send flowers, please coordinate delivery for the day prior to the services, per the arrangements made with Spangler Mortuaries.
