Thomas Joseph Hargaden died on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Lakewood, California at the age of 93.
Thomas was born on October 18, 1924, in England to Irish parents, Thomas and Margaret Hargaden. He was one of four children, one sister and two brothers. They family relocated to Ireland where he grew up, married, became the father of one son, Eric and a Detective Sergeant in the Irish Police Force.
Later in life Thomas visited relatives in the United States and loved it so much he made a decision to make it his permanent home. He then met and married the love of his life, Violet Marie Howell, in 1969 and became step-father to Connie Howell and Linda Long, later also becoming a grandfather and great-grandfather. He became a Chief Senior Investigator for the City of Los Angeles where he later retired.
Thomas was very active as a Mason in the Masonic Lodge, was a world traveler, enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Big Bear and loved Big Band Music, dancing and socializing with his many friends. In his very busy life Thomas always made attending church regularly a priority.
His Irish sense of humor will truly be missed by everyone.
