Thomas Robert Garner

Thomas R. Garner, born in Long Beach, California on November 18, 1967 to William and Rochelle Garner, passed away in the same city on January 25, 2017. He was a 1986 graduate of Long Beach Wilson High School and thereafter attended Long Beach City College, California State University Long Beach and Brigham Young University Hawaii.  He received a B.A. degree from the University of the State of New York and later studied for an advanced degree in business at the University of Phoenix.

Tom worked in the field of computers and information technology, and was always ready to help others resolve technical problems. He was an excellent all-around athlete and particularly enjoyed surfing.  His many interests included the study of history and geography.  He will long be remembered for his compassion and kindness to others, and he will be truly missed.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lisa, and by his step-daughter, grandmother, parents, five siblings and many extended family members and friends. We look forward to one day being together again.
