Terry Don Ogle
April 3, 1929 — April 17, 2016
Born on April 3, 1929 in Chickasha Oklahoma, he was one of ten children born to Melvin and Effie Ogle and spent his early childhood years on the family farm.
He came to Southern California during his teenage years and spent some time in the Army, and hanging out at the Long Beach Pike.
He met Frances Zwickl and married her on September 20, 1952, at the age of 23.
They soon after started a family and had 6 children, Melvin, Carol, Susan, Linda, Marvin and Rose and also raised Frances’s sister’s twins, Karolyn and Sherlyn, from the age of 9 months old, as their own.
He was married to the love of his life for over 64 years until her passing in 2015.
Along with raising his children, his two other greatest passions in life were listening to and dancing to country music with his wife, and driving a truck which he did for Rockwell International for over 42 years until he retired in 1988.
He is survived by one sister, June, 7 children, 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
