Teresa de Jesus Ramos was born on October 15, 1953, in her beloved Chilapa, Nayarit—a place she held dear to her heart until the very end. She was a woman of immense strength, resilience, and determination, a true warrior who faced life’s hardships with unwavering courage.
Throughout her life, Teresa worked tirelessly, always putting her family first. She endured profound loss, including her beloved daughter Leticia, her mother Jacinta Flores, and her husband, whom she loved dearly and lost in 1996. Despite the heartbreak, she never wavered in her devotion to her children, raising them on her own with love, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Though she only had a third-grade education and never learned the language of the country she made her home, she accomplished so much. Teresa was immensely proud of her children—the two eldest, talented trumpet players, and her daughter Ariana, whom she adored. Her greatest pride and joy was her son, Paul.
In 2022, tragedy struck once again with the devastating loss of her daughter and granddaughter. Though her heart was forever broken, she never stopped fighting. She carried her pain with grace, never allowing it to define her, but rather using it as a testament to her strength and love.
Teresa de Jesus Ramos leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
