Susanne Marie Neumann

Susanne (Susie) Marie Neumann, 67, of Lakewood, CA suddenly passed away at her home on January 25, 2024.  Her loss is completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.  She is now home with Jesus.

Susie was born on October 16, 1956 to Robert and Della Neumann of Bellflower.  She attended Bethany Lutheran School and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974.  Susie earned an Associated Arts Degree from Long Beach City College.

Susie had a passion for servicing customers, friends, and family.  She was a stellar waitress at Six Pence Restaurant in Lakewood Center.  Susie enabled us to have fun by working in the travel industry for the next 40 years.  Whether catering special events or making travel arrangements at One World Travel or Trip Matters, she enjoyed serving others.

Susie was an avid “Specialty Card” maker.  Her stamping expertise brought joy and a smile to many recipients.  Enjoying the fruits of being in the travel industry brightened her day.  Her favorite cruise itinerary was Alaska with family and friends.

Susie was predeceased by her mother, Della Neumann, on September 8, 1980 and her father, Robert Neumann, on July 8, 2011.

Susie is survived by her brother, Robert Neumann II, and his wife, MarKay Neumann of Anacortes, WA; Cousins Cheryl Zuber, Tim Goodman, Ellen Menard, and Gary Proefrock; Niece, Ginelle Menzies, and her husband Scott Menzies and their two children Mariette and Liam.

Susie is loved by family and her many friends – she will be remembered and missed.

Services for Susie will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church (4644 E Arbor Road; Long Beach, CA  90808) on Friday, March 1st.  Viewing at 9:30 AM and Memorial Service at 10:00 AM.  A reception in the Fellowship Hall will be held after the service.
