Shirley Lou Stejskal

Shirley L. Stejskal , 87, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2024 in Norwalk, California.
Shirley was born in Tobias, NE to Dennis and Annette Pratt on May 24, 1936. She married Dallas Stejskal on June 20, 1954 in Tobias, NE. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley worked as a preschool aide at Bethany Lutheran Preschool for 15 years. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Long Beach, CA for 66 years and served her church in a variety of volunteer roles. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, her mother, her father, her stepfather, and her brother. Shirley is survived by her daughter Cheryl Stejskal; daughter Kathryn Jones and husband Gary; daughter Denise Bowman and husband David; her grandchildren: Mark Jones and wife Kerry, Jennifer Johnson and husband Jake, Ryan Bowman and wife Kara, and Jared Bowman; her great grandchildren: Ellie, Haley, Abigail, Kori and Kayla. Pallbearers will be Mark Jones, Ryan Bowman, Jared Bowman, Jake Johnson, Nick Davies, Ron Gangloff. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Jones and David Bowman.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cypress and funeral services will be at Bethany Lutheran Church, Long Beach with Pastor Kevin Kritzer of Bethany
officiating. Arrangements are set by Luyben Dilday Mortuary.  Memorials may be given to Bethany Lutheran Church, 4644 Clark Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90808.
