Shirley Ann Oglesby nee Clatanoff, passed away on September 16, 2023 in Long Beach. Born on November 10, 1934, in Kansas City, MO, to Helen Clatanoff (Nash) and Glen Clatanoff, with her brother, Frank Clatanoff.

Shirley leaves behind her daughter, Theresa Hagner, grandson, Casey Hagner, Son-in-law, Rob Hagner; as well as her nieces, Nancy Baker and Kathy Golas, cousins Susie Hicks and Linda Forget, as well as many cousins. She is predeceased by her husband of over 65 years, Jack Oglesby, as well as her beloved son, Michael, both in 2017.

She was loved by many of her generosity of spirit and kindness, and her talent for crocheting, which she blessed upon many expectant mother's that she encountered by making them booties and blankets.

She was an avid photographer, reluctant traveler, an army wife who journeyed overseas with two small children to join her husband, Jack; she endured her husband's two tours in Vietnam.

Always the patriot, Shirley became active in local causes; she volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, also was a prolific writer, often offering her opinion to the Press Telegram newspaper, as well as other local publications.

Shirley is a long time resident of Long Beach, and will be deeply missed by her neighbors that have been like family to her.

Shirley has left this world. By God's grace, she joins her dear husband and son, mother and father. She will be eternally missed.
