Shirley Carhart passed away June 9, 2015 at the age of 89 from complications of Pick's disease, after a long illness. Born in Ellsworth, Kansas to Paul and Lesley Carhart, she lived in Long Beach for 75 years. Shirley graduated from Poly High School in 1943 and traveled the world as a flight attendant and purser with a major airline for over 30 years. An exceptionally bright, sophisticated and fun loving person; she leaves brother, Sharon Carhart; nephews, Jeff, Blaine and Tim Carhart; as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
