Roy Richard Lenarth Profile Photo

Roy Richard Lenarth passed away comfortably on November 3 rd , at Providence Little Company of Mary in Torrance. He was born on September 16 th , 1954, in Long Beach, CA to Arlene and Richard Lenarth. He grew up an active kid, speed skating, running, biking and hiking. He and his ex-wife Terrie were blessed with 2 kids. He was an electrician and computer repairman. He spent much of his years raising his kids and using his skills to help and entertain his family. From building a buzz-in system for kids’ school competitions at Our Lady of the Rosary school to entertaining with building a Tesla Coil and setting up his telescope for star and planet gazing, he used his talents to inspire those around him.

Roy is survived by his sister Diane Wiegand, brother Ray Lenarth, son Jason Lenarth and daughter Heather VanGinkle along with his grandchildren Athena, Jeffery and Peyton VanGinkle. He instilled in his children, likely without even knowing, that family was not only blood, but those that join you in your journey at different times in life, form deep bonds and stick with us throughout. With that said he also leaves behind many more loved ones, Clarice, Christin, Holly, Shannon, Greg, Dawn, Chuck, Mary, Sally, Danielle, Desiree, Dustin, David and their children and children’s children. Though his heart was not physically well it was filled with love, and he showed his love for all of his family and friends in his own special ways as generously as he could, wherever he could.

There will be a celebration of life on November 18 th , from 11-2pm and a Rosary beforehand at 10:30am at Progress Community Center in Progress Park. Lunch will be served.
