Rolando was born on December 11th, 1961, in Habana, Cuba to parents, Leo Virgilio and Maria; he was the youngest of their three children. The Fraga Family traveled to the United States in 1969, following the Cuban Revolution. They eventually settled in Carson, California where Rolando graduated from Carson High School in 1979. After graduating high school, Rolando began an apprenticeship in the field of mold making and machine work; an industry in which he worked all of his life as a self-described, “mold maker extraordinaire”. Rolando and his family welcomed their first child, Sabrina Nicole, a daughter, in 1995. In 1997, the family welcomed a second daughter, Liliana Renee. His daughters remember him as a warm and loving father. After living several years as a handsome and eligible bachelor, Rolando met his match in Lisa Petronio-Byers. The couple enjoyed a fun-filled and passionate courtship before officially blending their families in September of 2014.
Throughout his life, Rolando was a fantastic father, loving husband, and devoted son. He was adored by everyone; easily winning over new friends with his warmth and humor. Rolando was a caring, highly intelligent, hardworking, and generous person. He was an affectionate individual with a passion for living and enjoying life. Rolando Fraga was an exceptional human being. He is deeply missed by all.
