Roland Edward Beaudry was born on March 7, 1937 and passed away on October 3, 2021. Roland was born in Minnesota to Simon Beaudry and Bernadette Lambert Beaudry on a farm. He loved farm life and being outdoors. Roland was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He touched every life he met. He was funny and loved telling jokes. Roland was employed for 42 years in paper manufacturing, where he earned high praise as a manager for his people skills and work ethic. His company hosted a large retirement party for him at the Queen Mary, which they said was the largest party in company history, held for a very special manager. In addition to being a company manager, he proudly owned a small business for over 20 years. A true patriot, Roland proudly served as an aircraft landing signal technician in the US Navy. Roland had enthusiastically traveled to many of the states in the US and to over 20 countries. He enjoyed golfing, Texas hold’em, reading, history, traveling, watching his grandchildren’s sports games and concerts, and being with his family. He is survived by his wife Audrey Beaudry, daughters Kimberly and Kristy, his son-in-law Guy, and four grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Allie, and Nathan. His children and grandchildren attended Roland’s favorite colleges. He was so proud of them as they all graduated with high honors. He was a fan of UCLA, UC Irvine, SDSU, CSULB, and Western College of Medicine. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He lived happily to the age of 84. The family will be planting a living garden to honor Roland’s cherished memory. Funeral services are private. Rest in peace. Luyben Dilday Mortuary (562) 425-6401
