Roger was born on September 12, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Suzanne and Sam Reyburn.  He was one of four sons.  He spent his childhood in Winston, MO, and attended Winston High School, where he played basketball.  Roger liked to brag that he graduated top ten in his class! There was a total of 11 students!!

Roger packed his bags and moved to Long Beach, California a few years after high school.  He went to work for General Telephone, where he spent his entire career.  He retired in 1993.  In his retirement,  Roger spent his time as an assistant golf coach at Wilson High School.  He supported Long Beach City College, and Long Beach State athletics, and enjoyed spending time with his family.  Roger had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, and was an integral part of their lives.

He married Elizabeth (Liz) Wainwright on December 26, 1960 and had four children.  Roger and Liz moved to the Belmont Shore area several years after they were married, and lived there throughout the years.

Roger is survived by his devoted wife of 61 plus years, his twin girls, Stephanie (Chris) and Suzanne (Tony), his two sons, Sam (Rachel) and Matt (Jen), nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  Roger is also survived by his younger brother, David Reyburn who resides in Kansas City.
