Robert Jose Puente
June 8, 1948 — June 10, 2020
Robert Jose Puente was born on June 8, 1948 to Joe and Lupe Puente in Los Angeles, CA. He was first of five children. He grew up in Pico Rivera, CA where he graduated from El Rancho High School. He graduated from Rio Hondo College and attended CSULB. He worked for UPS until his retirement.
Even though he never married, he loved his family; siblings, nieces and nephews. He loved the Dodgers and USC, attending games whenever possible. He was an avid reader. He was a life time member of St. Marianne’s Catholic Church. He was a collector of many things. He was active with his senior group, Shade Lane and enjoyed the many trips that they would offer.
Even though he fought cancer for almost two years, he never complained and remained positive, praying daily and stating that it was in God’s hands. He left this earth on June 10 th to join Our Lord greeting him with open arms. He is now reunited with his parents, his sister Helen, other family members and friends. We will miss him greatly, and now he is in eternal peace.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth and her husband Ted, his sister Terry and her husband Bill, and his brother David and his wife Iris and their families.
