Robert John Nugent

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Nugent. Bob went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 11, 2022 in Los Alamitos, CA with his family by his side.

Bob was born February 6, 1933 to John Nugent and Mabel Nugent (Gould) in Stoneham, MA. Bob is survived by his wife Esther, his sons, Donald Norlin and his wife Sara, David Norlin and his wife Laurie, and Shawn Nugent and his wife Audrey, his 4 grandchildren, Daniel Norlin, Josh Norlin,
Sophia Nugent and Fiona Nugent, his sister Dorothy Hill of Torrance, CA, his sister Marion Murphy of Reading, MA, and his sister Marjorie Jones of Tewksbury, MA. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mabel Nugent, his brother Francis Daniels and his sister Barbara Bisson.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. He served in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to California in 1955 and began employment with McDonnell Douglas where he worked for 40+ years. He was an avid USC football fan and loved to watch his grand kid's sporting events. He enjoyed being with his family and especially loved to BBQ and host parties with his wife Esther. He will be missed greatly by those that loved him.

Funeral services will be held at St. Timothy Church in Lakewood, CA on Monday April 4th at 4:30PM. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress, CA.
