Robert Mark Deichert (Bobby) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 11th, 1959. He attended Immaculate Conception for grade school. He went to Bay View High School and Kettle Moraine High School. After his mother’s death of cancer at age 16, he and his four siblings went into foster care, in Wales, Wisconsin. As a young boy, he loved to spend time outdoors and this continued throughout his adult years, as did his love of sports. As the oldest of five children, Bob was often pressed to babysit and it became “party time” for them all. As a youngster, he dominated the TV set to watch the Packers and Brewers games and any other sports. At the age of 17, in 1976 he moved to California to be with his Aunt and Uncle. Just a year later, he brought his brother Barney to California and was his sole guardian. He married his wife at age 34 and they celebrated 22 years last October. His career was in durable medical equipment, for over 30 years. He loved the Green Bay Packers, gardening, fishing, kayaking, camping and going to the “office” with his buddies. Bob passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Lakewood, California and is survived by his wife, Andrea and their four-legged baby, Kleo; his brother, Barney; sisters, Mary, Lori and Beth; many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, located at 4714 Clark Ave., Long Beach, CA 90808. A reception immediately following at Glory Days Sports Grill, located at 4132 Woodruff Ave., Lakewood, CA 90713.
