Richard Patrick Lugan

Richard “Ricky” Patrick Lugan passed away on January 30, 2025 in Lancaster CA at age 64.

Ricky was born in Harbor City on September 30, 1960, the youngest of four boys.

He is survived by his brothers Edward (Olga)  Alex (Susan) and Robert ( Martha). His mother, Lillian Lugan Klotz and his father Ralph Lugan proceeded him in death. He leaves behind Carolyn his sister in law, many nieces and nephews, Aunts Leda, Rosemary and Socorro, many cousins and dear friends.

He brought total joy to the family. He loved to sing and pick flowers for his mom. He loved Motown music. He had a crush in kindergarten on a little girl. He loved dachshund dogs. When Ricky got sick in 1965, even though his body had changed, his family knew he had the same heart and the same love. His kindergarten teacher Ms. Fletcher took a special kindness to him and had the family over for dinner after Ricky was sick. She was a help to his mom Lillian during the early time of this condition. Ricky basically grew up in Wilmington and the San Pedro and Long Beach area. Mom and Ricky moved to Oceanside so family could help them better. He had visitors from his family to people who cared for him, especially Miss Teresa Quinonez. We celebrated all the holidays with Ricky and made sure that he always had a birthday party.

We look forward to being all together in The Kingdom of heaven where Ricky is not only with his Mom and Dad but with our Savior Jesus Christ our Lord.

Services ay Luyben Dilday Mortuary on February 13, 2025 @ 11:00am with burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach.
