Richard Dilday’s life as a community and business leader will be celebrated this week at the Long Beach Salvation Army chapel.
Dilday, a designer and building consultant, died of a heart attack in January. He was 69.
His celebration of life will take place Thursday morning, July 28.
At the time of his death, Dilday was president of Kardent Design, a design, space planning and project management company.
He had served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach for 25 years and as a volunteer and consultant for the Salvation Army nearly as long.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; children Rick Dilday, Megan Kuehl, Travis Nesland; grandchildren Sadie and Millie Kuehl and Owen Nesland; brothers Dan Dilday, Jim Dilday, John Slayton; sister Denise King; and many nieces and nephews.
The memorial service is at 10 a.m. at the Salvation Army, 3000 Long Beach Blvd.
