Richard Brown, known affectionately by his customers as “Jack,” passed away December 22, 2017 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Long beach.

Richard, a passionate master cobbler, served Long Beach and the surrounding communities six days a week for over 60 years. One could always find him behind his shop counter, ready to serve all patrons with a smile.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn and his children: Ed and his wife, Margo; Richard and his wife, Debbra, and his four grandchildren Amanda, Kyle, Cheyenne and Jorden. He is also survived by stepson Michael, his wife, Vaine, and their children: sons Maine and Joseph and daughter Elena.

We will all remember his unwavering dedication to his customers and genuine care for all who walked through his doors.

A private ceremony at sea will be held in his honor.
