Reginald Robert Evans, II died peacefully on July 28, 2018 with his 3 sons and siblings close by. Reg was born on April 12, 1949 the 3rd of 11 children born to Reginald Robert Evans, I and Kathleen Percy Evans, who preceded him in death. Reg was a beautiful, happy baby adored by his grandmother and 2 older sisters, spoiled by all.

Even in youth he was entertaining, charismatic, funny, feisty, stubborn, daring and talented. Because the Vietnam War was already raging in 1966 and being the son of a very patriotic father and paternal grandfather both of whom served in war, he joined the U.S. Marines in October, 1966. He experienced all of the horrors the Vietnam war afforded and suffered many symptoms of PTSD off and on throughout most of his life.

Reg attended Rio Hondo college after Vietnam and married his high school sweetheart, Gaile Seabold shortly thereafter becoming a stepfather to little Shane. They enjoyed the birth of one son, Reginald Robert Evans, III. His first marriage ended in divorce and in 1984 he married Diane Killmeyer and their union blessed them with two sons, Joshua in 1993 and Alex in 1995. Although both marriages ended in divorce, they remained friends. Reg was a loving father, devoted son, caring brother, doting uncle and true friend. Reg was a very hardworking employee of Oltman’s Construction for nearly 40 years until the ravages of his first stroke rendering him unable to work physically.

He is survived by his sons Shane, Reggie, Josh and Alex Evans, their mothers Gaile and Diane, and his beautiful granddaughter Victoria Evans. Also missing him will be his 10 siblings and their spouses: Kaye and Jerry Alexander, Janet and Tom Schmitz, Antoinette and Dave Frazier, Beth and Nick Schroeder, Michael Evans, Patrick and Daniela Evans, Roberta and Bill Ahern, Bryan and Caroline Evans, Marty Evans and John Evans. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews too numerous to list and a host of wonderful cousins and friends.

A funeral with full military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps will take place on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Riverside National Cemetery.
