Raymond A. Young was born on September 13, 1923 in Sandusky, Ohio. He was the 4th of 7 children born to Theodore and Mary Young.
He entered into the United States Navy the day after graduating from high school in 1941. He served in WWII on board the heavy cruiser USS Augusta, as well as the Navy Air Force Transportable Night Squadron #93. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Ray continued his public service as an INS Criminal Investigator for the US Department of Justice.
He peacefully passed away on November 19, 2019.
