Policarpia "Nene" Limpin Rapadas

Policarpia “Nene” Rapadas, age 93 , was lovingly welcomed into the kingdom of her Heavenly Father on January 22, 2023. She passed away peacefully in the care of her devoted family in La Habra Heights, California.

Nene entered this world as a Christmas blessing, being born in Tarlac, Philippines on December 26, 1929. Her happy marriage to Rodolfo “Rudy” Rapadas in 1953 resulted in the blessed births of four adoring children, 7 grandchildren, and 7 beautiful great-grandchildren.

Nene lived much of her life in Dededo, Guam as a result of her husband’s contract work with the Whirlpool Corp. She and Rudy labored side-by-side for decades growing their shop to a highly respected island-wide appliance repair business. Nene also tailored clothing for the Guam Visitors Bureau and fellow Islanders with her own side business. Through sacrifice and her industrious nature, they enabled their children to start their lives in Southern California. (Nene and Rudy’s son, Rudy Jr. (“Boy”), returned to Guam to assume the family business until his untimely passing in February 2016. Rudy Jr is survived by his wife, Cherry Rapadas.)

Nene is immediately survived by her eldest son William (“Willie”) and his wife Tina, Nelson and his wife Nancy, Maria (Holm) and her husband Thomas, and admirers who knew her as “Lola,” “Grandma,” “Auntie,” and other terms of endearment.  All those touched by Nene’s boundless love mourn her passing, yet embrace the guidance provided selflessly by her, the family’s fallen matriarch.  She is now reunited with her husband in Heaven, reborn in the grace of God, whom she served faithfully throughout her life.

Her final resting place will take place in Guam, where she will join her loving husband Rudy Sr. and their devoted son Rudy Jr.
