Peter David Neill

Peter David Neill was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 5, 1958 to Ivan and Hazel Neill.
The family moved to Long Beach, California in 1961. Peter graduated from Lakewood High School and joined the Army in 1976 where he was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and met his wife, Vicki.
After completing his military service to his country he moved back to Southern California where they started a family with the addition of their son, Joshua, and daughter, Jeni.
Peter went to work at Hughes Aircraft, Space and Communication/Boeing where he worked and retired after 35 years of service. Peter became a proud Grandfather in  2015.
Peter enjoyed retirement and loved spending time with his two adult children, Joshua and Jeni and most proud of his 21-month-old grandson, Mason who he referred to lovingly as "little monster." He loved to cook and spend his evenings barbecuing and using his smoker. He was an avid Detroit Lions and Red Wings fan. Peter always had the most generous heart, welcoming anyone in his home for a simple meal or a place to stay as long as needed. He will be missed and loved by all.
Peter is survived by his son and daughter, Joshua and Jeni, grandson, Mason, sister and brother, Moya and Terry, nephew, Mark and brother in-law, Larry. Peter will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, Ivan and Hazel Neill, and brothers Nathan and Mark Neill.
