Pauline Julia Didur

Passed away in her home in Long Beach on July 24, 2017. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 1st at 11:00 at the Luyben Dilday Family Mortuary in Long Beach.
Pauline was born on August 22, 1922 in Winnipeg, Canada. She was the daughter of John and Anna Krawchuk and sister to Mary, Emily, and Barry. Throughout her childhood, Pauline enjoyed speed ice-skating, along with playing softball and volleyball. She also sang in the church choir.
Pauline married Mike Didur on August 10, 1946. Together, they had two sons, Don and Dale. In 1955, Pauline and Mike moved the family from Winnipeg to Hollywood, California in order to provide a better life for the family. She became an American Citizen in 1963. They lived in Hollywood for a short time before establishing their permanent residence in Long Beach, California where she has lived for the past 60+ years. Pauline greatly enjoyed cooking, swimming at the YMCA, spending time at the family cabin in Big Bear, and spoiling the many dogs she owned and loved. Pauline is remembered as a devoted wife who raised 2 wonderful sons. She was also a devout catholic who attended St. Cyprian Catholic Church. Her grandchildren paid this tribute to her, "Pauline was the kindest person with the biggest heart who devoted her life to the family she loved so dearly."
Pauline is survived by her brother, Barry Krawchuk; son, Dale Didur; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Didur and his wife Trina and Rachel Miller and her husband Ronnie; and 3 great-grandchildren, Dagen, Jake, and Ava.
