Paul Gordon Winters

Paul Gordon Winters was the youngest of six children born to Ernest and Mabel Winters. The oldest was his sister Ellnor, followed by his brothers Glenn, Raymond (Bud), Donald (Donny), and Carl. He was raised in Bell Gardens and attended  Downey High School. After graduating he joined the Navy.

After serving in the Navy, he met the sister of his best friend, Jimmy Harris. He married Margaret (Peggy) Harris February 9th, 1964. She had two boys from a previous marriage, Earl and Richard. Between them they had two daughters, Susan and Sherry.  Some time after Peggy passed away, he married Barbara Hansen in September of 2001.

He worked as a machinist his entire life and loved what he did. He had a love of learning and was self-taught in many skills. He continued in correspondence and self-paced learning throughout his life. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

Paul was quick to serve, always helping at church or wherever he was asked.

After being bedridden for 6 years, he passed peacefully on April 20th, 2021.

He is survived by his wife Barbara and his two daughters Susan and Sherry.
