Paul W. Saumur
Paul Saumur passed away on January 12. 2016. He was born on December 7, 1917 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters. He and his wife Margaret traveled to many countries, primarily on cruises. He had no children but many nieces and nephews. He was most known by them for his magic tricks that he always performed at family gatherings and for the pictures of him on camels in Egypt. Paul was in the U.S. Navy in World War II in North Africa, but he said he never learned how to swim. He worked as a chemist at many companies, but mainly at the Ethyl Corporation and at Purex Corporation. Viewing will be 4-8 pm, Tuesday, January 19, Rosary at 7 pm, at Luyben-Dilday Mortuary, 5161 Arbor Rd, Long Beach. Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Wednesday, January 20, at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, 3519 St. Pancratius Place, Lakewood. Please sign the register at LuybenDilday.com.
