Patrick Joseph Coleman

Patrick Joseph Coleman passed on 5/10/2021, surrounded by his children. Patrick was born on 7/16/1948. He resided in Lakewood, CA for most of his life. He attended St. John Bosco High School prior to serving in the United States Marine Corps. After 9 years of service, including 2 tours in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged. Patrick started a family and a career as an electrical engineer. After a 30-year career, he retired in 2007. Patrick enjoyed going to the beach when his health allowed and later when his health declined, he was a regular on his front porch enjoying the sun. Patrick was known for his daily trip to his local Starbucks and George’s restaurant, where he befriended anyone willing to chat with him. He will be missed for his fatherly advice as well as his sense of humor.

Patrick was the father of seven children and grandfather to 13 grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Coleman, son Dan Coleman (Jen), daughter Sarah Fletcher (Roland), son Tim Coleman (Kate), son Rob Coleman (Jennifer) and son Andy Coleman (Mayra). He is also survived by his 7 siblings. He was preceded into death by his daughter Amy Dawn Coleman, his father Vincent Coleman, and his mother Rosemarie Coleman.

A Mass will be held for Patrick at 11:00am on June 4 ^th , 2021 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Lakewood, CA.

A burial ceremony will be held at 11:30am on June 7 ^th , 2021 at Riverside National Cemetery.
