Known as Nipi to grandchildren and close family members. Nipi was a homemaker for life, for her children and grandchildren, and at multiple different times. Children came and went, grandchildren came and went. Her home and doors were always open to all. Most will tell you about her famous tacos and orange jello salad. They were definitely at the top of the list but so where all the Thanksgivings and Holiday dinners. She could really cook. Hot chocolate and homemade popcorn always accompanied rainy days. Many of the grandchildren and great grandchildren also received homemade blankets that many used well pass their younger years. Quilting, crocheting, sewing, knitting and anything else ending in "ing" were her specialties. Nipi had many "make believe" boyfriends, especially her doctors, but none greater than George Clooney. Nipi also would like to take her 1969 Cougar and roar over the hill in the road that still exists on Spring Street today. She also had to put 50 pound sand bags in her trunk so she would not do burn outs when starting off. A four time breast cancer survivor, she definitely showed a fight to live. She battled all the way to the end. Nipi is survived by her oldest son John Jr. and his wife Beth from Mariposa, CA. John and Beth took care of Mom for the last couple of years in their home. Mom is also survived by son Patrick from Long Beach and son Michael and Faith Parducho from Los Angeles. Also survived by grandchildren, Nicky and Jamie Fox, Ian Taylor, Daniel McMonegal, Katie McMonegal, Kellie McMonegal and Kammie McMonegal. Nipi also has six great grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her daughter Margaret McMonegal Fox, May 1981, husband John Paul McMonegal in February 1998 and daughter Kathleen McMonegal in April 2004.
