Patricia M. Bamrick

Patricia “Pat” Marie Bamrick, 93 of Long Beach, California, passed away on December 13, 2022. Pat was born Patricia Freudenberg on January 1, 1929 to George and Katherine Freudenberg. She grew up in Rockwell, Iowa and was the second youngest of nine siblings. Her childhood days influenced by the Depression, inevitably gave her the strength of spirit and character for all her days to follow.

Patricia married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Bamrick, and they decided to settle down in California. They just recently celebrated their 72 ^nd wedding anniversary!

Pat lived a beautiful, loved, and spirited life. Her quick wit, generous heart, dancing eyes, loyal, and full of spunk attitude made every one that crossed her path take notice of what a remarkable and strong woman she was. Her love of the Dodgers and Notre Dame Football will be carried on, as well as the love held for her family. She was truly an angel on Earth, and filled her time by doing God’s work and looking for ways to help others.

Pat, along with her husband, were considered permanent fixtures at St. Cornelius Church. They spent countless hours volunteering, and giving back to such a wonderful community. She also enjoyed the endless Bingo outings, and trips to state line, mostly because the luck of Irish was strong.

Patricia dedicated her life to raising six responsible and loving children. There are countless memories and stories to be told about their adventurous trips back to Iowa. Patricia’s greatest test of faith was with the loss of her daughter, MaryPat.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her children Bridget, Rick, Tim, Carole, and Kirk, 8 grandkids, and 6 great-grandchildren.

In Patricia’s remembrance, visitation and Rosary will be held on Friday, January 6, at Luyben Dilday Mortuary, from 5-7:00 p.m., with the Rosary immediately following.

The Mass will be celebrated at St. Cornelius Church, in Long Beach, at 10:00 a.m. on January 7, 2023. Burial to follow at All Souls Cemetery. Reception at St. Cornelius (small hall) from 12-2:00 p.m.
