Pamela L. Hastings

With heavy hearts we recognize the passing from this life of Pamela Lee Hastings, beloved wife of Gary Hastings and devoted mother to Scott Mobley, Arianna Carroll, Victoria Vaughan and Joseph Hastings. Pam passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family in her home in Long Beach, California.

Pamela’s presence brought warmth and love to everyone she met. She dedicated thirty years of her working life to Long Beach Memorial Hospital as a loved and respected Registered Nurse, serving in many roles before finding her true calling, helping new mothers and babies begin their journey together. 

Pam lived a life full of joy and curiosity, embracing new challenges and open to new experiences, including learning to play flute, quilting, race walking, even backpacking with Gary. Yearly vacations in Yosemite with family may have been her happiest times, combining her delight in Nature with precious time spent with her parents and children. 

She leaves behind a profound legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew her.
