Pamela Ruth Rutz was born on May 13, 1960 to Jack and Leone Rutz in Long Beach, California. She was the younger sister of David, Karen, Patrick, Valerie and older sister - by five minutes - to her twin, Michael. Pam spent her childhood living on Charlemagne, around the corner from Wardlow Park and walking distance from St. Cornelius. She graduated from Millikan High School in 1978. Pam was the life of the party with a wicked sense of humor and a vivacious laugh. Many friends share the fond memories of socializing with Pam. She was a dear friend to many in Long Beach Search and provided many entertaining and memorable moments. While being part of that community, she met the love of her life: Mark Bezart. In 1986, Pam and Mark surprised her mom Leone with the news that they had eloped. (Leone had sprung this very same news on her parents.) They followed up with a church wedding with their families, and continued to celebrate two wedding anniversaries each year. “Aunt Pammie” was the fun-loving aunt who loved to shop and play with animals. And most of all, she loved Mark. Mark lived his wedding vows, loving and supporting Pam until his death in 2016. Pam knew that she could not have found a better man than Mark. She missed him dearly. We can rejoice knowing that two of them have been reunited and no longer endure the sufferings of this world.
