Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; Born in El Paso, Texas, on September 5, 1929. Olga left Texas and her 12 brothers and sisters in 1948, at the age of 18, and moved to Los Angeles, California where a year later she would meet her future husband, Frank A. Morales. On March 31, 1950 they were married. Two years later they would welcome a bouncing baby boy, Francis Albert. In another two years they would welcome an adorable baby girl, Anita (Tootsie), and again two years later, their final surprise George Anthony. They came to understand, that the "Rhythm Method" only worked in music and dancing! They moved to Long Beach, California in 1960, to raise their family. Later they were blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, Natalie Marie and Ashlea Marie.
Olga became a clerical worker in 1963 for the Retail Clerks Union, Local 324, in the social services department where she dealt with peoples grievances and work related disputes. She fought for their rights, with no more than a high school education. She began to assist the arbitrators for Workman's Comp and State Disability Benefits. After her retirement in 1983, she continued to fight for the underdog, giving advice and counseling to those in need. Olga never took "no" for an answer and never took a dime for her services! She was a diehard Notre Dame fan and any college team kicking the heck out of USC!
She had a great love for Hawaii and it's music and studied Hula Dancing in the 1960's. Olga was also a great swing dancer! Olga had the true Aloha Spirit in her heart; service, kindness, and forgiveness.
May we honor her in true Hawaiian Style of the Aloha Spirit.
