Norman Ericson was born in Glastonbury, Connecticut on April 30, 1931 to parents Edward and Johanna Ericson. He passed away peacefully August 30, 2022 and is survived by his life partner Mary Kay Dunn, sister Jeannette Kagan, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
Norman attended school in Glastonbury and excelled in math. After graduating from high school, he reported to the military office where he took an IQ test and had the highest score on record; they decided he would be better off serving his country as an engineer rather than soldier. After he later graduated from University of Connecticut, in Engineering, he moved to California where he began a long and distinguished career in the aerospace industry even later working abroad. Norman was very athletic and adventurous, even climbing the base camp of Annapurna in the Himalayas. He traveled the world extensively, especially with Mary Kay. Norman was kind and considerate. He was very likable and had a keen sense of humor. Norman had a compassionate, interesting, and accomplished life. We were lucky to have known him and we will always remember him.
