Nina Joyce Hermstad

Thursday, December 26th, 2019 Nina Joyce Hermstad passed away at age 75. Born January 4th, 1944 in Houston, TX, moving to California in 1952. Nina was also known to many as "Gog" or "Nina J". Nina loved playing bingo, dominoes and singing, especially Karaoke. Nina was a spunky soul and liked to rule the roost!  Nina was known for her quick wit and could be a bit bossy at times. She knew what she wanted and when..she also had a Heart of Gold and was loved by so many. Nina belonged to the Red Hat Society and loved to sparkle and shine in Red and always with a Hat! Nina loved a Strawberry Shake, however most of all an Ice Cream Sundae was her absolute favorite! Nina was a sweet mother to Elizabeth Gail and was loved so much by her grandsons Bryan, Timothy and Steven Sarty. "Gog" was created by Bryan, being one of his first words spoken. "Nina J" was created by Tim and the words "Nina J" always came with a huge smile on his face. Nina's 3 grandsons were the loves of her life, they would enter a room and her heart would light it up! Nina is survived by her daughter, 3 grandsons, sister Linda Dougherty and several nieces and nephews, she will be so missed by all.
