Nance Kaye Peterson

Nance Kaye Peterson, born May 11, 1939, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022 at age 83. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. “Pete” Peterson and son, Randal Peterson. Nance is survived by her daughters; Ronda Kaye Jenkins (Lynn), Renee Hahn, Rickee K. Tsuda (Ivan Pahk) (Tomi Tsuda) and her grandchildren, Ashlee Blomfield, Alecia Nortier, Andrew Jenkins, Alexander Jenkins, Chelcee Botts, Halee Tharp, Slade Hahn and Naomi Tsuda and her eight great grandchildren.

Nance was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Haley and Bernice Morris. She graduated from Central High School in 1957. Nance married Bernard Peterson in Omaha, Nebraska on November 28, 1958. They settled in California where they raised their four children, Ronda, Randy, Renee and Rickee. Nance was involved in St. Hedwig School and Church. She taught swim lessons to children in her backyard pool for years in Southern California. In the 1990s, Nance and Pete retired to Winston, Missouri.  In Missouri, she stayed active gardening, cooking, and spending time with daughter, Renee, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most recently, Nance lived in California with her daughter, Ronda, where she continued to enjoy sharing recipes, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends.

A mass will be held in her honor at St. Hedwig Catholic Church 11482 Los Alamitos Blvd. Los Alamitos, California on January 28 ^th at 5:00pm.

Burial services will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemeteries 7710 West Center Rd. Omaha, Nebraska, April 22, 2023 at 1:00pm.
