Morris Bernile Buffington died at the age of 93 on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Long Beach, CA.
Morris was born in Safford Arizona to Bernile Taylor Buffington and Beulah Ann Morrison. He was the oldest brother to: Clara Rose, Howard J, Fay, Sharon Ann, Jerry, Thomas, and Donald.
He met the love of his life while attending Tollenson High School Arizona in their High School Marching band, where he played trombone and was a member of the USA National FFA band which played in Washington D.C. Shortly after her graduation, he promptly married ‘Queen For A Day”, Carol Lee Foster in Tollenson in 1950. They moved to Bellflower, California and started their family. Morris worked for the Los Angeles County Sanitation as a surveyor in Compton for 42 years. He worked his side hustle as a plumber with all his sons for many years. Morris and Carol moved to Cochise, Arizona in 2005 to enjoy their retirement years after traveling the country in their motorhome.
He is survived by his six children: Ted and Donna Buffington, Tim and Sonja Buffington, Peggy and Don Hughes, Tom and Debby Buffington, Dan and Ronda Buffington, Sandra and David Parker, 23 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
