Michelle Lee Serb, 45, of Long Beach, California, passed away at her home on September 6, 2026. She was an amazing mother, a fearless big sister, a loving aunt, loyal daughter and dog mom. Her presence will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Michelle was born on December 26, 1980 in Long Beach California to Dorothy Costine and Paul Hughes. Michelle is survived by her husband Matthew Serb and daughters Kaylee and Emily, her mother and father, her siblings Sean, Zachary, Sara and Matthew, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a wife of over 19 years and an extremely proud mother.

Whether she was saving her brothers from the fists of their neighborhood “friends,” or pranking her siblings on an almost nightly basis, she was always there for the ones that mattered most.

Michelle loved the beach and would show off all the sand her dogs brought into her car. She loved looking at the stars and pondering the mysteries of the universe.

Michelle was a comedian and one of the funniest people in any room. She loved The Office and a good, “That’s what she said!” joke. She always had something funny to tell her loved ones.

Michelle loved grilling for friends and family in summer. She also loved football and the Philadelphia Eagles. She was a devoted Christian and walked in her faith daily.

Some may have been terrified by her, but she was so full of love. She would have done anything for her family. Every one of us is lucky to have had her in our lives and we will be forever grateful.
