Michael Allen Durst

Michael (Mike) Allen Durst, 74, passed away on January 28th, 2022 from unexpected heart failure due to complications from Covid-19. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in his circle of influence.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn. He was the proud father of daughter Leslie and son David. He was the proud grandfather of Lea Armendariz, Audrey Durst, Andrew Durst, and Aiden Durst, and his siblings Carrie Brandel, Robin McCarthy, and John Durst. He was preceded in death by his parents Carol & Harry Durst, and sister Leslie Durst Bowden.

Mike’s life was marked by his generosity & kindness. His cheerful attitude and can-do disposition will be missed in his church choir and among the many friends he made while on mission trips in China.

An intimate service will be held on February 24th with a potential Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Michael’s memory to Bethany Church Missions.
