Michael Paul Blasetti

Michael Paul Blasetti, (aka “Mikey”, “Big Mike”, “Long Beach Mike”) 42, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Long Beach, California. Born on May 10, 1982, in Long Beach, Mike lived a life filled with curiosity, passion, and an unyielding drive to explore the world around him.

An entrepreneur at heart, Mike had an innate ability to recognize potential and embrace new opportunities. His keen eye for innovation and his talent for bringing people together made him a natural connector in both business and life. Whether launching ventures or supporting the dreams of others, he thrived on creativity and possibility. His love for discovery extended beyond business—he was a traveler at heart, always seeking new experiences and perspectives that enriched his journey.

Mike’s interests were as vast as his spirit was kind. From carpentry to horticulture, he found joy in working with his hands and nurturing life in all its forms. He also dreamed of becoming an author—his mind constantly brimming with ideas and stories waiting to be told. His spiritual pursuits provided him strength and guidance through life's challenges, shaping the way he approached the world with depth and thoughtfulness.

Above all else, Mike’s greatest joy was being a father to his beloved children, Lucy and James. He cherished them deeply, finding immense happiness in their laughter and presence. His love for them was boundless—a love that will forever echo in their hearts.

Mike is survived by his father, Marc; stepmother, Carol; sisters Marci (Chuck), Cheri (Mike), and Sara; nieces Skylar and Brydon (Zach); nephew Gabriel; Aunts, Uncles, cousins, his millions of friends and his cherished children, Lucy (mother Brigette) and James (mother Cindy).

He was predeceased by his mother, Lori.

A viewing will be held on February 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Luyben Dilday Mortuary, located at 5161 E Arbor Rd., Long Beach, California. Following the viewing, a Celebration of Life will take place from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Lakewood Country Club, 3101 Carson St., Lakewood, California.

Mike’s warmth, generosity, adventurous spirit, and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those whose lives he touched.
