Melissa Hall Bohinc passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of June 30 th , 2021. Melissa is now an Angel in Heaven looking over those she left behind, especially her precious children, 6-year-old Caleb and 4-year-old Callie. She will be greatly missed by so many that truly loved her for who she was, a very caring person. In her way too short 43 years on this earth she had such a positive influence on so many people, in particular the students whose lives she made better by not just being their teacher, but being “Melissa”.
Melissa was born in Laguna Beach, California on January 1 st , 1978 to Yolande and Terry Hall. She was sister to Meghan Wright, Ryan Hall and Scott Addleson. The Hall family moved to Georgetown in 1981 where Melissa attended Georgetown School for eight years and then graduated from Golden Sierra High School with the class of 1996. She was very active in sports and student government. Melissa went on to further her education and graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga four years later. She received her teaching credentials at Cal State Monterey, where she met her future husband, Michael Bohinc. Melissa later went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Administrative Services from Cal State Fullerton in 2007. She always wanted to be a teacher and to make the world a better place, so she spent over 20 years in the Santa Ana School District and spent most of her career working with migrant children in the classroom, which became her passion. Melissa was also a Hall, something she was very proud of.
Melissa leaves behind Michael Bohinc, husband of nearly 17 years, children Caleb and Callie, parents Yolande and Terry Hall, sister Meghan Wright and her husband Billy, brother Ryan Hall and his wife Krista, brother Scott Addleson and his wife Natalie, nieces Julia Wright and Lilly Addleson, nephew James Wright, Mother in Law Marlene Dietrich, Father in Law Tony Massod, and a massive number of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Go In Peace Melissa.
