, loving husband and father, was born on born May 29, 1936 and passed from his earthly home on May 17, 2018 due to complications from a stroke. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gladys

, his 3 children, George Ramirez, Yvonne Moreno, and Maximino
Peña
Jr. He also has 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Max moved to Manhattan, NY as a young adult. He was drafted into the Army and served from 1954-1956. He later moved to Bronx, NY where he worked as a Book Binder. He married his first wife in 1960 and had his first child, Yvonne, in 1961. With his second marriage to Gladys in 1963, he gained a son, George at age 5, and later his son Maximino Jr., in 1967. He relocated to Lawndale, California in 1975 to be with his family. He began work at Ace Bindery and retired at age 61 after 23 years. Max and Gladys then moved to Puerto Rico for 4 years, but preferring the mainland, they moved to Ocala, Florida in 2002. Max then spent his remaining years enjoying his social life with fellow worshippers of their church playing Dominoes and Rummy; he also enjoyed playing Solitaire and drinking "cafe". He was an avid watcher of the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune, the occasional Novella, and Old Western Movies.
Max will be remembered and forever missed.
